Ahanu is Algonquin for 'he laughs'. The Waters family has for (at least) 17 generations been native to the modern Americas. The name Waters came into our tree via Sir William Waters of York. Further, we link direct descendance from the Grand Sachem or Massasoit of the Wampanoag who forged significant relations with the Plymouth colonists in the 1600's, to both Grand Sachem Sassacus of the Pequot and Grand Sachem Uncas of the Monheag in the 1500's, and Grand Sachem Weeorum of the Narraganset before them in the 1400's. Earlier still, Anishinaabe, the 'original people', predate tribe, nation, and colonization.
At 3 years of age, I was identified as 'gifted' by the Vincent Astor Foundation and Program, the New York Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, and eventually, interests at Camp Hero of Naval Air Station Montauk/Montauk AFS. I was engaged in psi, sleep, and dream practices throughout elementary school age. Later, I attracted the interests of Oregon State University Department of Horticulture, Bazy Tankersley, Pima Community College Dept. of Telecommunications, Raytheon, and IBM prior to completing high school- en route to a degree through Duke University.
I perceive patterns and anomalies most do not, however being unaware of my own until learning later in life of the Autism Spectrum and where I may reside as a 2E.
It has been said, 'once you have met a 2E... you have met one 2E". Such is the vast variance of 'the spectrum'. While most may find unfiltered honesty unsettling, I deal solely in such a manner. Talk and walk must align.
Together we can refine focus to enhance our perspective by deciphering through chaos to the meta patterns and the mosaics they reveal.
